Swiss Prestige in Taiwan becomes the third point of sale for Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud in Asia.
Actively represented in Japan and Singapore since its beginnings, Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud is continuing its development in Asia. In keeping with its strategy of judicious expansion, the natural choice for this latest move was a specific partner and market: Swiss Prestige in Taiwan.
Since July 2002, Swiss Prestige Ltd. has been a major player in the distribution of European watch brands. In Taiwan, it stands out from its competitors by its desire to promote independent maisons such as MB&F, Christophe Claret, HYT, URWERK, Greubel Forsey and Ressence, known for their unique and exclusive creations.
"Swiss Prestige is the ideal partner to strengthen our presence in Asia”, said Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, President of Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud. "Their experience demonstrates their ability to proactively promote independent watchmaking. They are true pioneers in Taiwan, a market that attracts both local and international customers”.
Swiss Prestige was behind the creation of the Independent Watch and Art Salon Exhibition in 2013 and the opening of the first M.A.D. Gallery in Asia in 2014, both representing innovative initiatives hailed by international watch brands. "We are honoured to have Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud among the Maisons that place their trust in us”, said Lori Shen, CEO of Swiss Prestige. "The recently earned international awards, notably the two Chronometry Prizes received at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2019 and 2020, highlight the quality and innovative character of the collections offered by the Manufacture. This is perfectly in line with our approach and the expectations of our customers, who are looking for a different kind of watchmaking”.
Swiss Prestige is thus joining the very selective list of retailers representing Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud, confirming the Manufacture’s desire to pursue its development with partners sharing the same values.
